I have a compaq presario R3000 laptop with windows xp home edition. Its drivers installation cd contains iTunes (music media player). Can I just extract iTunes from the drivers installation cd to a USB sticker, and also would iTunes be installed from that USB stick to a laptop with windows vista?

    First Name:
    Go here http://www.oldversion.com/windows/itunes/
version 7 through 11 will work on XP and Vista.

Click a version and it will tell you what versions of Windows are supported.

I'd download the "newest" old version that works on XP and on Vista rather than getting a very version that is on the CD.

Download to a USB stick from the oldversion site and then install it on the Vista computer.
