    Hello everyone!

I backed-up a HHD from a PC that was affected by recent storming. Performed a HDSentinel test on the HHD. HHD was checked as healthy. Decided to upgrade the HHD from a WD green 1TB to a Samsung 1TB to get the 7200RPM. Acronis informed me the back-up and restore was successful. Upon installing the HHD into the new computer I get the following:

    Loading DRMK V8.00

    DRMK Version 8.00
    COMMAND.COM Build 37 - Jul 28, 2008
    DRMK KERNEL Build 15 - Aug 8, 2008
Copyright (c) 2006-2008 Dell Inc. All rights reserved.

C:\> (Saying Bad command or filename when I typed something)

Additional info: Gateway DX4831-01E image to a DELL OPTILPLEX 9010. Both have OEM Windows 7 pro product keys.

Just to ensure I'm understanding you properly: did you image the hard disk on the Gateway and then plug it in as the boot drive on the Dell? If so, that won't work properly because of the different hardware installed on the Dell.

Image wasn't the right word. It was a back-up. On restore there is an option for universal restore meant for the restore to be placed on another computer. I am new to IT world. Is there a way to maybe get the dell model drivers on a usb? I am thinking about removing the HHD and get a E2B windows 7 to boot, install drivers, then correct boot order, add HHD....sounds good?

What's the exact "service tag" number and "express service code" number on that Dell?

You have THIS Dell OptiPlex 9010 Small Form Factor.
It shipped in June 2013 in the U.S.A. and came with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

These are the primary device drivers for Windows 7 64-bit that you need:
    Intel Chipset (9.3.0.1019)
    Intel HD Graphics 4000 (10.18.10.4425)
Realtek ALC269 High Definition Audio (6.0.1.5985)
    Intel 82579LM Gigabit Ethernet (16.8.0.0)

Download and save those 4 drivers, then copy them to a USB thumb drive or burn them to a CD-R.
After you install Windows 7 SP1 64-bit, install the drivers.
Make sure to install the Intel chipset first before installing any of the other drivers.
