dual boot menu and confused

    Hi forum I'm new to this site if this doesnt belong in this section please forgive me.
    ok heres my question,it has to do with dual boot
    I have a drive partitioned into 4 sections


    C:Windows Vista
    E:Storage
    Unallocated space
    B:Ubuntu
    D:Recovery

    I can boot either from windows or linux but when i got to the boot menu i get this display and it makes me wonder if things are ok or if theyre all mixed up can someone tell me if this is normal or how to go about fixing it.
    I'm a noob so dont be messed up guys....

    Ubuntu, with linux 2.6.35-25-generic
    Ubuntu, with linux 2.6.35-25-generic(recovery mode)
    Ubuntu, with linux 2.6.35-22-generic
    Ubuntu, with linux 2.6.35-22-generic(recovery mode)
    memory test (memtes86+)
    memory test (memtest86+, serial console 115200)
    windows vista (loader) (on /dev/sda1)
    windows vista (loader) (on /dev/sda4)


    does this mean there are two ubuntus ? idk im just asking please help?thanks ppl

    Hi,
    You've got two Linux kernels in your boot menu, it's not a problem it's basically an update. There's 2.6.35-25 in use and a backup of 2.6.35.22 and each has its associated other boot options. Some people like only one kernel, but a lot keep the older as a backup.
