    Hi :)
I currently have Vista home premium installed on a partitioned SATA hard drive.
I want to install Windows 7 H.P. on a new SATA hard drive that I want to partition as well.
Until I have a chance to move my files & programs across to the new HD and for the added security of knowing I have an existing bootable HD, I want to be able to boot off either the old Vista HD or W7 on the new HD.
In order to have an easy W7 install it's been suggested that I disconnect the old & connect up the new HD before booting from the W7 installation CD. After W7 has been installed I would then connect the old HD as well for the next reboot. Is this good advice? (With SATA HDs I understand there is no master/slave configuration to be set up.)
Will I be able to dual boot either during the POST/BIOS procedure, or can I install a utility like EasyBCD on the new HD (or both HDs?).
Does EasyBCD then ask you at startup time to specify which OS you want to boot from?
I'm a somewhat unclear on a few things so would appreciate any advice.
