I am sorry of this is in the wrong thread - please re-direct if necessary.

I have a low-level graphics card (nvidia gt1030) which at present only allows one monitor. I have purchased an HDMI adaptor (snowkids High speed HDMI) which works fine BUT it only mirrors the display on my main monitor. I cannot even move my curser between screens. Windows Display only recognises one monitor ( my main).

1. Is there any way using this setup that I can get windows to recognise two seperate monitors??
2. I am told my gt1030 can display two monitors but I am not sure how - any advice please?

Does your graphics card have at least two output ports? If so, you would need a monitor connected to each port for dual display operation with an extended, rather than mirrored, desktop.

HDMI only supports one monitor.
