Can someone tell me why suddenly I am getting repetitious email messages (as many as quads, in some cases)? This has happened occasionally in the past but only sporadically and not for quite a while recently. But tonight I'm getting a rash of them. Chuck Wilmot ([email protected])

Now Chuck, you know better than to post duplicate threads.

Sounds like the server, sometimes they can get hung up there and repeat sending. May also be a virus on their end, not up on those. Check yourself for a virus also. http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/ If you dont turn up anything, I would call your ISP and let them know.

I also found this on http://members.iinet.net.au/~sandi/MVP/outlook_express.htm:

I am getting multiple copies of my emails

You probably have a corrupt POP3UIDL.DBX file.Close OE and delete that file. It will be recreated when you re-open OE. One more download to get pop3uidl.dbx up to date (OE uses this file to keep track of what has already been downloaded), and you should be right.
