Whenever I insert this type of disk into the slot on my PC, it shows TWO of them, not just one! Wonder why?

The contents etc. are identical so I'm just intrigued why this is so?

Hi, where are they showing, is it in explorer? Can we see a screen shot.

Go to search and type:- command prompt, right click on the returned command prompt and select "run as administrator", an elevated cmd prompt will open. Copy and paste the following cmd into the prompt window (right click anywhere in the cmd window and select "paste" the cmd will append to the prompt), press enter.

    reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\DelegateFolders\{F5FB2C77-0E2F-4A16-A381-3E560C68BC83}" > 0 & notepad 0

Please post the notepad output here.

Apologies for the late reply........ have been away for a couple of weeks on R & R! I'll pop in the above cmd asap and see what happens but basically the duplicate "Disc name" simply appears on the left hand side of Explorer where the other drives like C, D E etc. appear!

It's shows as "Scan Disc F" except that is shown twice and both with the same properties.

I can rename one to something like "Mine" or whatever and the other one changes instantly!

USB and DVD drives don't have this issue, only the cards I stuff into the slot on the side of my PC!

    Thanks again!
