duplication

    I have windows 8.1 on a acer aspire an one also on a Toshiba satellite both laptops. whatever I do on one it duplicates itself on the other. does anyone have any ideas how to stop this.

    not sure that I can but here goes. if I take a web site and save it to favorites on my Toshiba laptop it automatically is saved on my acer aspire 1 laptop or vice versa.

    That will only happen if you have a cloud based service installed on both machines - and the service is syncing one to the other.

    If it only happens in a web browser then it may be a feature in the web browser on both machines, like Chrome, which I believe has a syncing feature.
