Hey, well heres my problem, the other day outta no where my cd drive wouldnt read anything it had been working fine up until now i went into device manager and it has that ugly exclamation mark on it, it then further tells me windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware, The driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39). I uninstalled the cd drive then rebooted and installed it again and it still isent agreeing with me, anyone know other steps I should take because this rom is new so it cant be broken id hope.

It sure sounds like a fault with the drive. Have you tried putting it on the other IDE channel and testing it? As it's new I would be returning it for warranty service.

I had the same problem and since the waranty period was still in force, removed the drive from the computer, and brought it back to my supplier. After quick a test they replaced it with a new one. The warranty on new one is only good for the rest of the original purchase.

Well I dont think its a fault with the drive mainly because I have 2 cd/dvd drives and they both went out at the same exact time, the one I mentioned in the previous post isent that new, ive had it for about 4 months, but the other drive ive had for about 4 years and it went out at the same time, I think its somthing else mainly because thatd be an odd coincidence for both of them to crapout.

Edit: Also mounting software such as Daemon Tools is mounting correctly but when I try to open some programs that ive mounted the image for it says please insert disc, when before they worked just fine, this started happening along with my cd/dvd problems I dont know if that helps but I figured id add that

May be the cables or connections should be checked out, especially the end that connects to the motherboard, since both drives went out together.
