Dvd Driver not found

    My dvd driver is no where to be found on my computer i have done everything possible to reinstall it and nothing is workiTech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2

    Antivirus: Norton Security, Updated and Enabledng

    if it does not show up in Device Manager it may well be that the drive has failed. If it does show up in Device Manage you can try uninstalling it in Device Manager Close Device Manager and restart the computer. You should get a "Found New Hardware" notice this will reinstall the Native Driver in Windows. Is this a laptop or desktop? Either way, dvd drives do not last forever. If this is a desk top dvd drives are inexpensive to replace.

    The Acer Aspire 5810T is a laptop which appears to sell in the United Kingdom and come with Windows Vista 32-bit.

    Windows automatically detects a computer's disc drive and installs the driver for it.

    What driver are you trying to install for that disc drive?
