dvd not playing dvd's

    I was doing some general cleanup and deleting of programs that I dont use anymore and now my dvds dont play in my drive.Dont know if thats related or not. Its an aopen drive and i use power dvd as the software .The error i get in power dvd says:error 89030000.It will play cd's fine.Ive played this movie in the player before so i dont think its that.Any thoughts?

    You should uninstall all DVD software and then download and install the latest ASPI driver for your Windows here . Restart your computer and install your DVD software again. After another restart it should work.

    Ok Ill try that .I have win98 there are 3 choices for ASPI v4.70,v4.71,v4.71.2 which one do i use?

    I tried your suggestion with no luck still get same error.Error also says unknown file format.

    Try here . Also use 'Google' - type 'error 89030000'
