Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite C50 on Windows 8. -8 months old. It has a DVD Drive. I have installed VLC to playback DVD's, however, after only a few minutes of playback the picture freezes, and weirdly the sound starts to repeat the same 5 secs or so of speech over and over and over again...... even after the DVD has been removed from the drive!!
I have uninstalled and reinstalled VLC, uninstalled the pre-installed Toshiba video player (in case it was conflicting?), uninstalled and reinstalled the DVD drive.
I have now uninstalled VLC and tried another programme - installed GOM player and the filter to get sound - same problem (without the sound repetition)
Any ideas anyone??
If all else fails - off to Argos for a £20 DVD player!!!....but I hate to be beaten!
