    Hello. My question is this:

Is there any way I can play a DVD on my desktop (Win 98) through a network where the DVD drive is on my laptop (Win 98)?

I have tried using Interactual Player, and it tells me there is no DVD present. Which isn't really surprising, but I would like to find a way to do this...

First you need to make sure the drive is being shared and is visible to the other computer. Then the player you are using has to be aware of the network. You would have to open the DVD manually via whatever menu the player uses, it will not autorun across a network. Finally, even if it works and I'm not sure it will, then you will be limited by network bandwidth which may make your movie skip.
