    PROGRAM ERROR
MSIDVD.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows.
You will need to restart the program.
An error log is being created.

    thanks

did a little investigating and didnt find much info on msi dvd.

did you have onboard video on your last motherboard?...if so then it could be that msi-dvd only works with certain chipsets/video adapters and may require an upgrade. or it may not work at all.

my suggestion would be to try to download a different dvd player and see if it works. if it does your problem is with msidvd.

MSIDVD is the same as WINDVD
I can use PowerDVD but cannot do the diagnostic test, otherwise it won't work.

Did you reinstall Windows after changing the MB? If not, that may be part of your problem. W2K doesn't take kindly to ripping the MB from under it and changing it. :)
