DVD-R Issues

Alright. I have an HP dvd640, running Windows XP Pro. I installed VMWare a while back and it asked if it should deactivate autorun, and I told it to. Big mistake.

Ever since, my drive doesn't detect new CDs. I'll have a CD in the drive, and it'll act like nothing's there. Some times it'll give me autorun options like "Open in Winamp" but it won't detect the CD in Windows Explorer. I'll put a CD in and when I try to burn, it insists I hae no CD in the drive.

I have no idea what to do at this point. It's driving me up a wall to have a DVD-R that works when it chooses to.
