I have spent a lot of time editing my camcorder output on DVD-RAM on my Panasonic DVD Recorder. Now I find it to be a near pointless operation because I can only share my epic with other Panasonic owners. On my computer I have Ulead Video Studio SE which produces a parameter error when I try to import the files (although it displays them). I think I can do the transfer by connecting up leads to the outputs on the DVD recorder but I suspect I shall lose quality. I think someone with a hard drive DVD Panasonic Recorder could convert it to a finalized DVD-Video disc. Surely there should be a simpler way. Desperately need an expert here.

    Let's back up here...

What recording mode was used on the DVD-RAM made in the Panasonic? 2-hour SP? (or 1-hour XP)
If so, this will be easy.

If not, maybe harder to work with.
