I have a Benq dvd rom drive 16x. It plays CD's, reads data files but will not play DVD's. Just does nothing and hangs Win media player or Realone when I try and open a file.

Switched the drive to another computer and it works ok

It automatically loads Microsoft driver 5.1.2535.0.

I also have a LG DVD burner works fine, same driver as above

Using Win XP professional. The region is set to 4, same as the burner.

I have uninstalled the driver and the cdrom drive but still no luck.

    Any ideas?
