I'm having trouble with my DVD tray opening - it doesn't. It also doesn't show up in Windows Explorer. I'm not sure of the model number, unfortunately. I have Daemon Tools installed; I'm not sure if that's the problem or not. Any help is appreciated.

It would sound as if the power connector to the drive is not plugged in or loose or the drive has died on you. Open up the computer and make sure the power connector is securely connected. To rule out any Windows problems you should try ejecting the tray while the computer first turns on (or when its first booting up).

Everything is connected. No, it doesn't open during boot-up.

If you want you can try the drive in another computer but chances are its dead and you need to buy a new drive.

I used the emergency eject button. But my disk can't be read. I guess it really is broken... :(

If you want to be 100% sure then try it in another computer. If its acts the same then its definitely the drive, although at this point everything already points tot he drive.
