Hi All,

I am having this problem after I switched to Windows 7.

My DVD writer can read all disks, can transfer data, but while writing it fails at the end of the writing process. Probably while finalizing the DVD.

I deleted the device from the device manager a couple of times. It comes back while restarting, but getting the same error.

I am attaching the log here. Can anybody help? i will be grateful. I do not want to switch back to XP.

Regards,

Faith

The log is certainly showing some errors but I am not sure how to interpret them.

Just to check if this is a drive problem or a Nero problem try burning the ISO with different software. This is a free ISO dedictaed burning program ImgBurn, if this fails then it is probably a fault with the burner. You could also check that you have the latest firmware installed and follow this guide CD/DVD drive, Problems caused by filters to diagnose and correct any problems with the filters.

I unistalled Nero and installed Imgburn. It Completed the burning, but the dvd was unusable later. The log in Imgburn showed no errors.

Ok, there are a couple of possibilities, either your burner is faulty or a more likely reason is that the ISO image could be corrupt, where did you get it from?

Also, there is a slim chance you have some bad discs or the burner laser is dirty.

Try using the disc you just burned in another PC.
