dvdrw not working

    Got a job where the customers dvdrw isn't working. In device manager it says drivers may be missing or corrupt. Updating them the usual way isn't apparantly working. Isn't there a reg fix for this? Max.

    is the drive IDE or Serial ATA?

    Don't know yet. It's a 1.5 yr old packard bell laptop. My guess is ide. The customer had a lot of malware so don't think that connection can be ignored.

    Yeah, Mizzing cheers, thought i'd give that one a try but very oddly although it tells you to delete the upper filters and lower filters in the reg they're just not there. D'you think this means this aint the problem? Max.

    Correct, I wasn't sure if that would help in the first place but it was worth a shot.
