When played on my notebook DVDs are jerky and the audio/video is out of synch. The DVDs play okay on my tv with Playstation 2.

    Hiya and welcome

Go to Control Panel | System. Device manager. Under CDROM/DVDROM, look for the name of your drive. Rightclick on it and choose Properties.
Click the Settings tab and untick DMA, apply and OK.

    Regards

    Eddie,

Thanks, it worked. My DVDs are playing fine now. I have Windows XP and had to do a little searching to find the DMA, but I succeeded.

Glad its working. I know when I installed Win2000, it took me a while to find Device manager.

    Happy viewing
