DVI (white) cable vs. VGA(blue) cable.

I've been using a VGA cable ever since I built my computer (like 4 months now). The VGA cable needed an adapter to go into the 4870. I always saw these annoying lines on my monitor. VERY discrete but still noticable if you're looking for them. Sort of like a CRT monitor being recorded.

Then I found a white cable, the lines went away when I tried it, I might be imagining this, but the picture is somewhat clearer too. :D

So, DVI > VGA?

look up DVI and VGA on wikipedia.

VGA is analog, been around since the 1980s... DVI is digital, that or HDMI are best. Perhaps your monitor has a faulty VGA port, who knows.

So whats the issue?

There's no issue. Just that if you use VGA then switch to DVI, which one would be clearer? The same?

The digital formats such as DVI and HDMI should indeed give you better quality, and the bigger and the better the screen the more the difference becomes.

Oh my... so for a 24" monitor... would DVI or HDMI be better?
