I went into to do a check on my direct x, because a game said I didn't meat graphic card requirements and crap, and I don't think my graphics card is good enough anyways, but I still wanted to make sure, so I brought up my direct x file, and clicked onto dxdiag, and hten it gives me the rolling flash light, and it searches for about 5 minutes, ands says "File is missing or corrupted". Can anyone help me out with like a place to get a download for direct x? And, maybe even an upgrade, I was running dx7, and I know they have like a dx9 out. anywhere to get it for free? Thank you for any help I can get.

You can download the latest DirectX through Windows Update. Open up Internet Explorer then go to Tools and Windows Update. Its listed under Program Updates.

In Windows XP, you should have the Windows Update link.

    In Internet Explorer, Tools.
It should be the third item down the list.
