Today iTunes was refusing to burn my playlists and gave me the error message:
"Disk burner or software not found..."
I "repaired" the iTunesi nstallation using add/remove programs.
    -Didn't resolve the problem.
I went on to iTunes preferences - burning tab and all settings were normal. My drive was specified, burn speed etc.
-I went to Device Manager and uninstalled the drive, and then use add/new hardware to install it again.
    -Restarted the PC
-Not only has this not fixed the iTunes problem, when I put a blank disk into the drive and open it from My Computer: I get the following error message
"E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function"
When I right-click and select properties there is no recording tab - when you click the hardware tab it disappears.
When a blank disk is inserted the drive is labelled CD Drive, when I take it out it is labelled CD-RW drive.
Still plays audio and data CD's perfectly.
I found this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;315350 but this doesn't really apply to me as I don't use Roxio Easy CD Creator.

It was working perfectly yesterday - any advice? (y)

Any other burning software installed? The built-in burner is Roxio, if you use XP.

I use iTunes, Windows XP Burning and IsoBuster to burn discs.
    Thanks,

Try another brand of media first.

I have also tried another brand of media.
