E:\ is not accessible incorrect function

    my laptop(win xp service pack 2002) is not reading anymore cd and dvd's.when i insert a cd or dvd in to the cd/dvd-ram my laptop is making the sound like it's reading the cd.... but at the end it doesn't.and when i'm looking in my computer...it's writing on cd/dvd-ram icon CD DRIVE(E) but when i try to acces the cd/dvd-ram i get the message E:\ is not accessible incorrect function .i.ve tried to reistall the windows xp..
    but i'm having the same problem.please give me a solution.thank's any way!
