E-mail via MS Outlook instead of OE?

Can someone tell me how to install MS Outlook and switch my e-mail over to it from Outlook Express? cwilmot

Hi there.

Installing Outlook should be simple as the CD has an auto-run setup program which will kick in.
There are known conflicts betwen the two programs however, so you might be as well to read this thread:

It approaches the problem from the opposite end, so to speak, but the information contained is most useful in your case because the settings need to right in both cases.

It's quite simple.

After installing Outlook, and the first time you open it, it will ask if you want to import your accounts and mails, as well as ask if you want it to be the Default handler. Say yes to everything.


Mike - That's mainly a problem with having Outlook installed, but wanting to use OE instead. With both installed, Outlook is automatically recognised as being the "improved" version. cwilmot should have no problems with this.
