Setting up Word 2000 so as to e-mail from Word. I get my e-mail from MSN and read it from Hotmail, Outlook 2000, or Outlook Express.

    Thanks

What happens when you hit File-Send to, Email recipient?

Is this what you're trying to do or fix?

Do you want Word to be your email editor?

    Or what?

    Your question isn't clear---sorry!

    Is that Old CWO4??

    That makes me OldE4?

    :D

    Dear Dreamboat:

Yes it is Old Chief Warrant Officer 4, and I'm really old.

When I enter text in Word 2000 I select File, Send, E-mail (as attachment).

Nothing happens, then I try to exit Word and I get the message, or something like this, cannot close Word 2000 until the send mail is finished. After miminazing for a half-hour or so, I try to close again and get the same message. Thats when I try push the reset button.

Funny thing is, I used to be able to send e-mails from Word, I don't know what I did to change it but something happen.

No, I don't want Word as my e-mail editor.

I can't remember your other questions.

    Terry

    :)

    Okay Cee-DubYa-Ohh.

Please do this, even if it makes no sense.

    1. Go to www.theofficeexperts.com/cleanyourpc.htm and follow the instructions there. This makes sure that the machine isn't crashing for other reasons.

    If that does not help...

    1. Open Internet Explorer.

    2. Go to Tools-Internet Options, and choose the Programs tab.

    3. What is showing as your email program? It should be the one you use every day to send emails, and probably Outlook 2000 is best.

If that's already set like that...

    1. Open Word.
    2. Go to Help-Detect and Repair.

Lets' see if that fixes it yet, okay?

If not, I will give you more instructions.
