The instructions say to connect the camera USB and then turn on the camera. Easyshare is supposed to come on and automatically transfer the images from camera to computer. This worked for me twice, but now Easyshare doesn't open and obviously no transfer takes place. The battery is low in the camera. Could this be it?

Also, is there a way to transfer pics after the software is opened manually instead of the automatic procedure described above? I see no "load pics from device" sort of option anywhere in Easyshare.

I have a Kodak C195....to transfer pics from your camera to the computer.....1. turn on camera (the lens should come out). 2. plug camera into the computer port (the lens should go in and turn off) 3. Easyshare software should start to load and transfer your pictures to the easyshare software. I hope this works

Typically, the camera card will show up as a drive in My Computer, and the images will be in the DMIC folder. Kodak does some weird stuff, however, and this may not work for you.
Many people have learned to heartily detest this software. I recommend you uninstall it and use Picasa.
