First of all I run Windows 98 and use IE 6. Some time last week I found this toolbar below my address window that didn't belong. I got the toolbar removed, but I am still having problems with Ebates Money Maker spyware. I have run Spybot and Ad-Aware repeatedly, and they SAY they have gotten rid of the problem, but every time I reboot, the problem just comes back again. I've tried just about all the anti-spyware problems I can think of and nothing works. Something is also checkmarked in my Windows Configuration Utility Program in the Startup list called "checkrun" which keeps starting up at rebooting when I know I have unchecked it. I know there is a way to delete this in the registry, but the registry is confusing to me. I really don't know what to do.

Welcome to TSG! :)

Sounds like you are still infected.

Click here to download Hijack This: http://thespykiller.co.uk/files/hijackthis_sfx.exe

Let it extract to C:\Program Files

Close out any open browsers
Launch the program
Hit "do a system scan only"
When that finishes, hit "save log"
The log will open in Notepad
Copy & paste that log into this thread

Do not fix anything yet

P.S. Can you please edit your font and make it smaller? :)
