echo from youtube and discord

i have my computer hooked up to my tv and when i watch youtube videos through the tv i hear no echo but with head phones i hear a echo with youtube and discord, like they are in a tunnel and i cant figure out why

Hi brentvsw, and welcome to TSG.

Are you plugging the headphones into the TV's headphone jack or the computer's headphone jack? I suspect you mean the computer, but want to be sure.

Does the problem occur if you play a video file saved on your computer using some kind of media player?

While the problem is occurring, if you open the Windows audio volume mixer, does it show multiple sources? If so can you mute certain sources to eliminate the problem?

Into the computer, my keyboard can also be set up to hook up a mic and headphones.
Not that I've noticed no, when I watch YouTube they sound echoish and it's worse with discord it's like hearing them in a tunnel.
I do believe so but I'm not 100% I've checked something where I saw multiple sources and when my friend talked 2 responded to the noise, one was discord and the other was the main sound so I couldn't turn them off
