Is this motherboard any good, and what is the advantage of the 800Mhz FSB.

    ECS 648FX-A, 800MHz FSB , 10/100 LAN, USB 2.0, 5 PCISlots, AGP8X, 6 Channel Audio, SiS648FX Chipset

Nope, its a low-end board. Stay away from PCHIPS and ECS. Also, consider a motherboard with an Intel, Via, or an NVidia chipset instead of SiS - it'll perform better. The 800Mhz is faster then the 400/533Mhz bus but can support the slower speeds if you buy a CPU that runs at only 400 or 533Mhz FSB. All of Intels new P4's will run at the 800Mhz bus.
