Need a little help with some homework..

    Question:

"Many classrooms at school have a small 5-port switch used to connect the workstations in that room to the IDF (Intermediate Distribution Facility). Does this follow TIA/EIA-568-A standards? Why or why not?"

568-A doesn't directly address that and the question is ambiguous, but technically no. IDF would connect to MDF, so your cable length could be past 100m.
