This is a real simple lab I have to do.

I have to create a simple nework topology (such as two routers, connected to each other with a serial link, and each router has a PC attached with copies of Wireshark).

The assignment is to draw up the layout in visio (already done), but then the harder part:

Ask questions that will guide a person to see how far routing advertisments traverse across the network.

What's the best way to do this? What are the best questions to ask?

"In wireshark, what networks or routers are advertised via 224.0.0.10?"

If EIGRP area includes the Ethernet interface plugged into your PC, you'll see EIGRP router advertisements.

"In router x , execute sh ip route eigrp"

This will show you what networks are in the route table from EIGRP process.

"Unplug AC input, touch to tounge. What's the outcome?

This will show you if they're paying attention.
