I know this is probably something that shouldn't concern me.... but you know the little arrows on your icons.... the ones that indicate that the icon is a shortcut....... I know there is a way to remove them from the icon.... however I cannot find out where I read about it.

Would one of you guys mind steering me in the right direction and let me know either how to do this or where I can find out.

    Thanks in advance :)

If you have Tweak UI installed, you can make the change on the Explorer Tab.

Right click on desktop, select properties, select appearance, in the
item window select icon, change size to 30, click on apply and the
    arrows are gone.
