Did you format the hard drive before installing 7? I understand that XP can't be upgraded so you would require a full copy of 7 to install. Start the computer using the disk and install from there. You can't put the disk in the tray while XP is running and select install.

How do i do that. I tried starting it with and without the windows 7 cd. It dies the same thing everytime, it says windows is loading and then the little green loading bar with 'microsoft' under it, then the screen turbs gray and it sats please wait and that menu comes back on. I can only click exit and all that does is restart the computer and the samething happens.

Sorry im on my ipod i cant type that well
