    Hi Etaf

Many thanks for your reply. I am loath to use OE as Ive read so many bad things about it's security.

    Cheers

If security is all you are worried about, then no matter what email client, use text mode.

Outlook Express (or Outlook) is the best email client(s) for the ability to do almost anything that can be done on a web page. If you don't have a need for graphics, then any email client is OK for text, including OE. Outlook offers more security, however I don't use it.

I've used OE for years. I've never had a problem with security because I don't open strange/spam emails. Also, you have the ability to view an email without opening it. So if you have any doubts about the email, opening it that way is safe. Never use the preview screen - turn that off.

I don't use Eudora - but it is a favorite of one of our experts here at TSG.

I have used Eudora since the early 90's. I love it.
