Email info copied in one operation? Possible?

    Just tried it. Yes, it does work like that in Thunderbird.


    Why not do it both ways for a while. Set up two e-mail clients, Just leave messages on the server and download to both.
    Treat one the way you've been doing it (it seems to work OK for you, but it's not exactly what you want). Think of this as the known evil.

    Set up the other client to do as simpswr and I have suggested.

    This way you can try the new way and see if it does what you need without sacrificing the old, familiar way.
