Email issues Outlook 10

I have been migrated with my 2 telstra bigpond email addresses to the new telstra email system. When I have set up [automatically] my emails in Outlook 10 each account does not show an "outbox" so I am unable to see when I compose a message that it is held in outbox pending transmission. Also when I send a message through the new email account it is sent through another account I have which is not a bigpond account. I have been told by telstra this is so because the new system does not operate on POP and my other email which is related to my website is still on POP so all emails are sent through there. I do not use my website email any further and have tried to delete it but Outlook will not allow me to do so. Is this because I will then have no avenue to send emails without the POP server access?????
Also how can I set up an outbox in each of my new email accounts???
