Hi... I'm in help desk in my company. We're having an issue with emails sent to Hotmail, they're being rejected. Microsoft answered, via website:

"Welcome to Microsoft Community. We understand how important for you to be able to send an email to Microsoft accounts from your domain account.

You need to get in touch with the Microsoft Sender Support Team. They have to fill out the e-form that can be found on the following link to solve your issue with the error code 550 SC-002 where your emails sent from your domain to Microsoft Account rejected for policy reasons.

If you are the 3rd party Domain Administrator:

Please review our policies and guidelines at http://postmaster.live.com.
If you are in compliance, submit a support request to our Email and Delivery Filtering Services team by clicking on the link to the e-form under the troubleshooting section in the postmaster site mentioned above.

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you. "

... but the problem is that mails sent to Gmail are being rejected too... So I suppose that our servers are being considered as spammers, for the time being, for some reason. Is there a workaround to this without having to contact either Hotmail or Gmail? That's dealing with obnoxious bureaucrats... if you ever can get a hold of them...

What is the full error message that you are getting? any error codes like 0x800-something?

Also check with your email host and/or Internet Provider to make sure your Reverse DNS PTR Record is correct, especially if you have changed your IP Address recently.

Please contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on our block list. You can also refer your provider to http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors. The IP address 184.70.180.78 is showing as blacklisted by the following blacklist:
    BACKSCATTERER
    LASHBACK
    MAILSPIKE BL
    SEM BACKSCATTER
    SORBS SPAM
    Spamhaus ZEN
    TRUNCATE
    WPBL

    So some scenarios:

    1) Either you or someone has been sending spam related email or one or more of your computers have been affected.
    2) the mail server (mail.mwci.ca) you are using has been using has been reported to be sending spam.

So if you/your company is purposely sending spam... don't :) If you are not, check ALL computers with email access to this mail server for viruses/rouge accounts.

Then you will need to contact the email provider of mail.mwci.ca to get them to get the IP address unblocked. Your ISP may be able to assist. Worse case, these guys may be able to help.
