Hi all,
I have a dilemma with a dell latitude notebook i am working on. It runs windows 2k and is encrypted using Encryption Plus Hard Disk. There has been a virus out break at the organization I work for that hit all the outdated Win 2k machines (no surprise) and it has been causing them to continuously go through the reboot cycle. I was able to enter Windows after using the boot disk to run repairs on the workstations that were affected but because this is a laptop and is encrypted the boot disc cannot find the Windows installation on the hard drive. I haven't been able to decrypt using the instructions provided to me as it gets hung up before it starts. I was wondering if anyone out there has had experience using hard disc encryption or know of any way to decrypt or get past it someway. Any help is greatly appreciated!
p.s. I did try to use Bart P.E. which allowed me to access the drives and I was going to attempt to back it up to a USB drive but it would not recognize the USB.
