My system is a Dell Dimension 4700, with a 305W power supply(I know its low, but it works) I'm rather inclined to investing in a 1-2 TB Internal hard drive. I've looked at the dimensions of my current one(160GB),and the power/connectors for it, and adding a 2nd drive seems feasable. I'm just slightly leery if internal drives require more power. Any answers out there?

Hard drives require very little power to operate. Just go to the drive manufacturers site for the drive you are considering and the site should give you all the power specs.
