I need a new EPROM for my old Heathkit weather station (ID-5001). The stock EPROM is a UV-erasable AMD AM27C256DC.

From what I gather it's a 256KB (32x8) CMOS EPROM. And am I right in assuming the DC means it's a 28-lead CERDIP with a commercial temperature range? But I don't know the speed, and I also don't know if speed is important or not.

I need an equivalent (or the same) EPROM. It doesn't necessarily have to be UV-erasable though. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Would this be equivalent: http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...2pyFaduir0xixRtWg00sbT9Sl6zLcDFM5FS%2b%2bvk8=
