For some time now all the d/l's stop and start multiple times. I d/l Firefox .6 this morning and it took over an hour to d/l 4.7MB, which should have taken 20 minutes. It was worse than it's ever been. Installing the updated Firefox didn't help either.

I use LeechGet d/l manager, but installed it after the problem started.

    Win Me
    v92 dialup modem
    AllVantage ISP

Would appreciate any and all responses.

I need to mow my yard, so it may be a couple of hours before I can resond to any replies, but should be back within 3 hrs at the most.

Hi..How much Ram do you have installed?
Run a Hijack this log..link below..see what is running on your system..
Let it scan..save to notepad>edit>select all>edit>copy>paste on your thread..
Install in C:\ program file..not temp..
A log expert will read your log and help you...

I have 376 mb ram. I've had hijack for a long time. Also have SG and Blaster, Adaware, AVG, Spybot, etc. I'm running scandisk right now on that computer. As soon as it finishes, I will post the log. There's not much running and don't think you'll find anything there, but will get it on here asap.

    Thanks for your reply.

I've had both on for quite some time. I did notice that both computers I have do the same - d/l's start and stop. May be the ISP! I'll try switching phone numbers and see if that helps.

    Thanks for your help.
