Error 0x80070570 on external hard drive

I get this error code when trying to move or delete files from my external hard drive. I scanned it with Microsoft Security Essentials and it came up clean, so now I don't know what to do. I can't find a viable Error Repair Tool to download, and on forums I'm seeing that it's highly unadvised and difficult to clean an external's registry. A tech friend of mine said my file table was corrupt, and to upload important files to the cloud immediately. I am in the process of doing so, but it is a several-day long process. (I am uploading the files from their original hard drive, on another computer. The external here, with the problems, is full of my back-up copies.) I hope that makes sense. Thank you in advance.

Hiya

Sorry for the lateness in a reply, these forums can be very busy. Are you still having this problem? If so, we'll have a look at the error, but will wait until you reply.

Thanks
