    when i try and load a disc in my dvd drive i get the following msg "the application failed to initialise properly (0xc0000006) press ok to terminate " it will play music and i can load games . im trying to load the cd that came with my bt homehub . iv just reloaded afresh with xp2 after a virus attack . the bt disc loaded ok b4. HELP PLEASE..!:confused::mad:

    Hiya laul61.

    If other disks are read by the drive, it`s obviously not the drive at fault. Try carefully cleaning the BT disk as it might have picked up a bit of grease, dust or fingerprints somehow and also test it in another machine if you have the chance.

    disc is clean. when i 'explore' the disc it says that files are not win32 files even though they are .
