Today I experienced an error 8602 device failure on my 14 year old Dell winXP. Yesterday i disconnected the mouse, keyboard, and monitor, to use on another old win-xp computer. Today I reconnect the three devices and the 8602 error displays. Searching the internet for help, I found the Tech Support Guy web site and the post from chronic788. Thank You Tech Support Guy and chronic788. Your instructions to resolve the 8602 error worked. Possibly when I disconnected the keyboard, this caused a glitch to the motherboard or the kb port???? Thus resetting some settings???? It's a mystery. All is working now. I mainly use the old XP PC for using the HP scanner (too old and HP does not support the drivers for win 8.1).
Great web site and Thank You. Lars
