Error attmpting to validate the Winsock base providers: 2

    Apologies, I did look at some of the other posts, and couldn't seem to find the answer for this issue. It's my mom's old XP notebook, and have tried resetting the Winsock and the TCP/IP (at least, I did, I tried this:
    TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.

    For these commands, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.

    Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

    Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log

    Rebooted, and no luck. Please find enclosed the XP Diagnostics, as well as an Hijackthis log:
