    Sooooooooo, what were you doing (or leastways, attempting to do) at the time when the error message was generated? It would also be helpful if you could download and run the TSG System Information Utility, and then paste the information back here about your system.

    I was trying to log into a program for my work. That has to connect to a server with the company the program is for. Its QS1 we called them for help. They gave us a share link but it will not connect but we can go on the internet. I think a setting got changed or something.

    Since this is a proprietary system, you're definitely better off working with the company. Unless there's someone on the forum allied with QS1, I doubt you'll find the answers here.

    It is probably due to XP being unsupported now and ALL remote logins should be using a higher level of encryption / SSL / https that XP does not support.
    You need to ask your company IT and the QS1 company support.

    find out if other users can connect or try yourself using a more modern Operating system like W7 /W8 or W10. I am pretty sure they will connect OK

    The message "the other side closed the connection" generally means an invalid or unsupported SSL cipher so connections are rejected
