    Hi
I get the following error code 2000-0146 when I run the diagonistic test in the computer. It does not boot normally in any mode and says "UNMOUNTABLE_HARD_DISK"..

Hello! Welcome. A little more info please. Is this a Dell? Laptop or Desktop? How old? The hard disk error pretty much says hard drive failure but it could be something different. Post if XP Pro, media Center Edition, or XP Home. Did you have an up-to-date antivirus installed? What kind?

karbo has a good link to follow. I knew this was a Dell. :) There is a nasty virus that corrupts the boot sector of a hard drive and will give this error among others. Still, do some reading over at Dell as this seems to have happened to others.
