Error Code A97

    Trying to install Microsoft Office Access Runtime and Data Connectivity 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
    Getting Error Code A97.................

    All other updates for last year solid, running Vista X64, Office 2010
    Any suggestions ?

    have you tried in safe mode

    Hi Mike19,

    Did you try to put the Office install cd into your CD\DVD drive while trying to install?

    Sure did, ran it with the original disk in, ran repair mode. it made not difference.

    Ran a registry scanner, just in case that was the problem.... came back clean.

    Turn off your UAC and try to install again. UAC improves security, but sometimes there are problems with installing.

    Launch MSCONFIG from the "Run Menu" > click "Tools" tab > scroll down to "Disable UAC" and click. Press "Launch".
    After the command is done, reboot the computer. You can enable UAC in same place.
